Love's In Bloom

When we brought our baby girl home from China in 2006, I could not wait to introduce her to family and friends.  With today's adoption time lines lasting as long as three years, the wait can seem endless... but you WILL hold your little one.  When the wait is finally over and the excitement of the trip blurs into the excitement of coming home, be sure to start your new life together as a family in style.

LOVE'S IN BLOOM

Inspired by beautiful pictures of peonies (5) and Lily's, this east meets west baby shower will create a soft, warm environment to introduce your new little one.

Decorate using Warm Biscuit's Lily Floral fabric.  Create a table cloth using hem tape.  Measure the desired length for the table, cut the fabric, and iron the hem tape to form a hem.  Like in the Sweet Tweet Tea Party, place a large Asian inspired birdcage in the center of the table.  Look for one similar to the light above (3) or the larger one below.

Flowers are going to be central in decorating.  Be sure to place lilies, peonies, and light pink roses all over the house (4), including inside the birdcage.

String small lights over any plants and /or place candles around the house to instill a warm atmosphere. (If there are smaller children attending, be sure to place in a higher location.)  Additionally, hang white lace lanterns from the ceiling (2).

You have waited a long time for this amazing moment... Enjoy!
