For a story obsessed with time, Alice in Wonderland makes the perfect theme for a New Year's bash. By all accounts, you are probably fairly well decorated for the holidays. Just add a few more trinkets to transform your Wonderland into the kind of world the Mad Hatter would be proud.

For table decorations, conjure the scene of the Caterpillar on the mushroom for inspiration.

First place two black and white photocopied images of the original Alice in Wonderland illustrations in silver frames (5) on the table. (You may also use other images on a banquet table or in other areas of the house. Additionally framed quotes from the story would work well)

Place old antique clocks found at thrift stores and spray painted in vibrant colors (3) near the frames. Lay overgrown low-lying pots of moss and candles (1) between the frames and the clocks. Finally use these small wooden mushrooms (2) for fun. You may also use old time pieces (4) in the centerpiece.

Other ideas include hanging an extreme amount of ribbons from the ceiling above the banquet table- alternating lengths - and adding antique keys to a few of the ribbons. Additionally use red and white roses throughout the house and place red paint brushes next to the vase.
