Give a Sweet Smile

What should all your little sugar plums do at a Sweet Shoppe Valentine party? Set up four different craft / activity stations throughout your home. Cover each table with Amy Butler fabric in orange dots (5) or lime dots. Place a small vase in the center of each table and add more pinwheels (1).

"Give a Sweet Smile" Workshop

This Valentine's Day, have your guests show love to others in need by creating a "Give a Sweet Smile" workshop. During the event, each child will get two white goodie bags. One of the bags will be for the guest and those bags will have a cute little "Thank You" sticker (4) on it. Guests will fill those bags with candy at the end of the event.

The second bag will be plain and it will be the responsibility of each guest to decorate and to fill the bag with goodies for a child who is currently staying in the hospital. You will deliver the goodie bags to those in the hospital on a different day.

Each guest should go to the four stations. In the first station, guests should decorate the "Give a Smile" bag. Have stickers, crayons, and stamps the kids can use to embellish the bag.

In the the second station, set up a necklace / bracelet booth where kids can make "Candy Necklaces" using these fresh, bright beads from Delish Beads. Have each child make one item for themselves and one item to be placed in the bag.

In the third station, have your guests make small cards to be placed in the bag. Suggest to the guests to write words of encouragement to the children in the hospital. Place the cards in the bag.

In the fourth station, have candy bars and wrapping paper with ribbon. Have each guest wrap the candy bar and place in the bag. Add these adorable heart candies from Martha Stewart.

Design each of the stations so that the guest get a wooden nickel when they complete each activity. A cute adaptation of the candy stripper, carry the nickels in this adorable apron from The Zackles Shop (3)

When they turn in their final gift bags for the children in the hospital, give them an extra nickel. Children can use the nickels to buy candy from a Candy Bar similar to the one below. Take pictures during the "Give a Sweet Smile" event at the hospital and include them in the Thank You cards. Your guests will love seeing the smiles they created from a fun party.
